Early Travel and Life ExperiencesDavid Beston is no stranger to traveling the world before his career took off. His early forays on the other side of the globe began with a stint in the United States Marine Corps early in his life and career. He was promoted to sergeant there, and during his time there, he was stationed in Japan, Africa, and unusual places like the Mojave Desert on the west coast of the United States. Beston's early overseas experience stuck with him, and the hot Southwest is still a place where he goes for vacation, separation, and the occasional mental solitude while hiking, either in the Mojave or in the wilderness outside of Phoenix, Arizona.
However, hot is not the only destination criterion for travel; David Patrick Beston regularly takes advantage of his proximity to the Northeast, and he also spends a significant amount of time in Maine for recreation. He takes advantage of more than his fair share of outdoor recreation when he can, between the lakes, forests, mountains, and coast. Of course, if given the chance, Beston will not pass up an adventure or two in the hot jungles of Central America. All things considered, and having traveled the world at least once or twice, Beston's home is, without a doubt, New York City. In Beston's mind and life, the Big Apple and Manhattan remain the central geographic hub. |

A Variety of Interesting Backgrounds
Beston has a diverse set of skill sets and training that provide him with a flexible portfolio of knowledge to draw on on a regular basis. His first foray into higher education came as a result of his military service. After leaving the Marines and the military in general, Beston pursued vocational training to transition back to the civilian world through a Merivis program, which is tailored to veterans and provides David Beston with a skill-based pathway into a cloud computing career. That tech introduction with the most up-to-date Internet-based tools opened his eyes to the possibilities available online.

David Patrick Beston also earned a bachelor of arts from Hunter College CUNY, which is also located in New York. Beston's diverse background gave him a unique ability to move between social issues and the arts, as well as the mechanical nature of technology and the cutting edge of digital communications today. The same education gave Beston a deep appreciation for post-modern American playwrights, particularly those from the 1960s and the following decade. He also developed a strong interest in classic literature, including works by Raymond Carver and David Foster Wallace. Even now, as an avid reader, Beston probably reads at least a book or two per week.

Work Perspectives on a Wide Range of Issues
Beston's work life continued to mirror his varied world-traveling life. Following his discharge from the Marines, Beston worked as an English-training teacher in Suwon, South Korea. After spending time stationed in Okinawa, Japan, and acclimating to the East during his tour of duty, the transition to teacher was simple. However, it wasn't until he returned to the statewide job market that Beston's career really took off. David Beston discovered he had a talent for sales, and the financial industry was a natural fit for him, especially with the combination of technology and cloud computing. That perfect alignment of factors translated into 14 years of heavy-duty high-end sales experience and managing professional accounts at the c-suite level. It also provided David Beston with extensive exposure to a variety of industries and their drivers in terms of macro and micro-level influences.
Seize the DayLooking ahead, David Patrick Beston will continue to seek out sales and marketing opportunities that will allow him to leverage his combined skillset and experienced perspective of the world while also allowing him to travel and see far more of it. Beston believes that life is short and must be lived. Sitting and wondering what-if wastes years of energy and life when compared to taking a chance and seeing what's possible.
